Aftercare
How you look after your healing tattoo is so important. The better you look after your new eyebrows, the better your results will be.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in pigment loss, discolouration and poor results.
Day of Procedure
You are at risk of infection while the tattoo is healing so it’s important to keep them clean. Please always wash your hands before carrying out aftercare. Ensure towels, beddings and anything that may touch your brows are clean.
1 hour after your procedure:
Wet a cotton pad with warm water
Squeeze out all the excess water
Wipe your eyebrows in the direction of the hairs 3 times
Repeat this cleaning process before bed
DAY 2
Repeat the cleaning process above morning and night.
DAY 3 – 7
Repeat the cleaning process morning and night.
As the brows start to scab it’s very important to wipe more and more gently. The longer your scabs stay on the brows the better your results will be.
After cleaning your brows:
Take a tiny amount of aftercare balm (no bigger than a grain of rice)
Gently rub a thin layer onto each brow
Apply the cream morning and night after cleaning
DAY 8 – 13
For the second week you must leave your brows alone. No wiping, no cream. We call this dry healing.
DAY 14
You can now wash yours brows:
With your finger tips wash your brows with a mild soap
Pat gently dry
Moisturise the brows with a thick, clean moisturiser
You can now resume normal activities
WHILE HEALING YOU MUST AVOID (DAYS 1 – 14)
Getting your eyebrows wet – Do not get brows wet when cleaning your face or showering.
No products on or near the brows including skincare or make up.
Sweating – No sweating, exercising, saunas, sun exposure, long hot showers or baths.
Touching or friction – No touching, rubbing or itching and keep hair tied back. You must sleep on your back for 14 days. (Try sleeping with a travel pillow if you are struggling to do so)
Moisture and friction will cause your scabs to come off. The longer your scabs stay on the better your results will be.
INDEFINITELY
You can now resume normal activities. However I advise checking the following before using on the eyebrow area as they could contain retinol or glycolic acid which can cause discolouration:
Foundation – Moisturiser – Cleanser – Toner – Tanning Gels – Microdermabrasion – Laser or chemical peels
To keep your brows from fading quickly or discolouring always wear a high factor sunscreen on warm days.
